I was attempting to migrate from one server to another. Both servers are claimed. I recall previously losing my stats because I had not claimed. SO this time I was ready. Was not counting on it losing everything once more as it has. This service is either faulty, or to confusing. The migrate tools is what got me..

I used the migrate tool. I selected the server I wanted to collect stats from. Net result, neither server has any stats. The migrate tool is not obvious even after reading its instructions. So likely I copied the stats of the new server over my old one and lost it all. I cannot express how angry I am at gametracker right now. I don't expect any help either, but would love to see this corrected. Im just raging at you guys now.

I know they won't believe me when I say I was considering donating. That just flew out the window alongside my server stats however.
The process is confusing and each time I make changes game tracker is causing me to start over. FFS. Why don't you design things in a way similar to every other website with something that looks familiar with us, why make it so easy to wipe our stats? Why not have an undo option? Anyways people, careful with that migrate tool. One misstep and you lose stats for literally thousands of people.

What you are describing is expected behavior for the feature and is described in the help text. In the help text for the migrate option, please note the first line:

"In order to migrate the historical player stats from this server to another: "

This means that you are migrating the stats of the page you are on now to the selected server.

Please also note:

"After migrating historical player stats:
This server's historical player stats will be empty (but they will be collected normally going forward).
All of this server's historical player stats will be moved to the selected server.
The selected server's historical player stats will be completely overwritten (but they will be collected normally going forward)."


This means that the server you are on will be wiped, and the server you are replacing it with will be wiped and replaced with whatever stats are on the current server (the one you migrate from).

Please let us know if one of the lines is confusing, or if you just missed it.
