Hi when I put in the DNS Name DNS UPDATE NAME Manage section in my server I put the IP address (IP and tried with many walks and not), I click UPDATE DNS and I get the error "Invalid DNS name.". I would appreciate if you could help me.

PS: I tried with another server which changed the IP either.

What is the DNS name you are trying to enter?

Some examples of valid DNS name entries include:

gametracker.com
subdomain.gametracker.com

Some examples of invalid DNS name entries include:

gametracker
gametracker.com:27015

A domain or subdomain are equally the same. However you set it up and whatever your personal preference is.

PS. It makes no sense whatsoever for you to actually use my example "gametracker.com". Since you have no control over the domain, it will not do anything on your page and may cause issues (ie. get it deleted since it will not be able to find a game server).

Then the DNS UPDATE NAME option does not work. Is it in vain?, Now the problem is that it updates the DNS well but now says that the server is not online.

From what I gather, I am guessing you just have no idea what the feature is, or what a "Domain Name" is. If you'd like to learn about what DNS is, visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domain_Name_System

I would also recommend you click the (?) button next to the Update DNS section so you might actually have an idea on what it is used for on GT.

Yes... it changed to the IP address of the GameTracker.com website because you set the DNS name to gametracker.com. Again, I'm not sure why you set the DNS to gametracker.com, or why you still have it there. Unless you setup your own DNS address and update the page to use it, you won't be able to recover the stats on that page. They will simply be deleted after it is down for too long.

If you don't know what the DNS function is, see my previous comment to help you locate a description. If you don't know what DNS is, see my previous comment for a link to wikipedia.

There are a good number of admins that use it, but it is not a majority of the servers on the website.
