Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,
I'm using the DaRT-Software to keep an eye on my DayZ Epoch Server. It says I'll get some more features when I add my Server here. So I clicked on "Add Server", typed in the Server-IP, Join Port and Query Port (I think it's the same anyway..) and now it says: "The domain name you entered does not resolve." And next to the IP it says: "Domain names must resolve to a static ip." What does that mean? And how can I add my Server to GameTracker now? Thank you, for any help. ![]()

If you are entering a DNS name, such as "server.mydomain.com" or whatever yours is, it needs to actually be pointed to the IP with an A record. If you have not done this, GT will not be able to reach the server.
If you have just made the change recently to add the A record, it may take 24-48 hrs to propgate from your host around the world. Since it is resolved to an IP, you can easily use the IP on the add server form instead. ![]() |

You cannot enter a domain name and get it to magically point to your server. You have to set an A record.
Since it's safe to say you have not, just enter the ip instead of the domain name. ![]() |

I entered the IP... But I never tried the domain name. Where can I find the domain name?
EDIT: I think I found sth. I'll see if it works. EDIT: Ok I got it. My sever didn't even had a domain name. I changed that, and now it works, so thank you so far.. That problem was now followed by the next one. ![]() To edit the Server I have to change the servers name? Only for the process in editing? Or for all the time then? EDIT: Ok I got everything now. Thanks, again. ![]()
