Server Claim

The account is officially a week old. =) By like a minute or two. I changed the name of the server and restarted. Still not letting me claim my server. I have researched enough to know that this is a tiring topic for based on the amount of sarcasm in some of the responses I read. Anyway, I waited the week and changed the name. What do I try next?

You signed up at Nov 18, 2015 2:43 PM (per your profile). You posted this at Nov 25, 2015 12:49 PM. So in other words, it was not quite one week at the time of your post. But it would be by now...

What is it telling you when you try to claim the server?

As you may have understood by now, so more for the benefit of others perhaps; it's a time zone thing.

You are undoubtedly in a different time zone to the gametracker server.
When you look at when you joined gametracker, it uses the server's 'timestamp', not your local time.
So, when you check how long you've been a member, you need to allow for that.

It might seem better if the process used the user's local timestamp for logging activities, but that could quickly become even more confusing if for example replies appeared in forum topics before the question was asked.
(Yes that could be worked around too, but it's just easier the way it's been done)

Of course, very few people will read this, even fewer will fully understand it, and a small percentage will probably even feel annoyed about it. But that's just how forums are it seems.

Changing the server name should bypass the account wait. At least from my understanding. Thanks for the responses. It is resolved at this point. Is there a way to implement player stats? I have not researched yet. The links are there but not sure if it is an implemented function.

The delay prevents new accounts from claiming a server page for 7 days. Attempting to claim a server within the 7 days will not get you around the delay.

Historical data will begin to save once it is claimed. If the game either does not report player names individually (ie. just a total) or does not report scores for players, then players will not be in the historical data.

Historical data may take a couple hours after a player leaves a server to update their history.
