Is it advisable to use DDNS over just normal DNS setting and we manage the IP change if it updates? What is the most recommened route for that so we can maintain our server ranking?

I'm not clear on what you mean when you say; "we manage the IP change if it updates"?

Game server IPs can not be manually updated on Gametracker.
(I assume you are aware of this as you ask the question?)

It doesn't matter if you use a dynamic DNS client or not. The DNS feature only requires that the DNS resolve to an IP address. The DNS feature is the only way to maintain ranking if your IP changes.

Okay great, was just more wanting to know why someone would use ddns if you know how to update DNS and own a domain name?

Well, if you use a Dynamic DNS client, chances are it would automatically update the DNS IP when it changes. If you do not have software automatically checking that, of course, it is a manual effort to update the IP.
