why do some servers that are arma 3 show as arma 2?

mine even shows as arma 2 and it has nothing on there what so ever to do with arma 2.... strange.

anyone else having this issue?

A game server doesn't need to be permanently one game. For instance, a year ago someone may have rented that IP and Port for an ARMA2 server. If they were to cancel, the server provider would likely re-use that IP at some point. So, you might be given the same IP and Port that an ARMA2 server originally had, but now it's an ARMA3 server. All you'd need to do is update the game (+ possibly the query port) on the server page.

If you don't have an option to change the gametype and/or query port on the claim page, you're always welcome to provide sufficient information for an admin to do this for you..
