Hey all, new member here

I'm running version 1.619 on a Windows 7 PC with Punkbuster enabled via the instructions over at MoonGamers.

I can only get on about 6 servers, all the rest are grayed out. I thought this was a PB issue, but now I here about this version 1.612 taht is given away for free on Origin. Are all the gray servers on 1.612? Or am I just having issues with Win 7/ BF1942 1.619/ PB?

I'm assuming you are playing the original disc-based version of BF1942.

You are correct about the greyed out servers: They are running the new Origin version of the game (v1.612) and are not compatible with your version. You will have to download the Origin version in order to play on those servers.

Oh, and don't try to enable PunkBuster or install the MoonGamer's PB fix if you decide to play the Origin version, because it has no PB support and will not get it.

I've been driving myself crazy with researching online, tweaking the programs, running in compatibility mod, running as admin, on and on and on.

This is my favorite game and it sounds like the 1.612 makes things easy to install and play, not sure why it's controversial to some guys on here and MonnGamers.

Will download this afternoon and give it a shot, thanks again!
