I recently came out of retirement as a player, server admin, and modder due to the announcement by EA and the resulting influx of new and old players alike. I decided to not only start a server but a Battlefield 1942 community to go with it.
I have been playing since the game was first released and later on went on to help beta DC and DCF which I pretty much lived in for a few years. BF 1942 is special and has something intangible that other games just can't touch.

Our community Battlefield 1942.net is dedicated to attracting and helping new players get in the game and have a blast. The community is growing again and we will do everything we can to help it grow and keep it going.

We currently are running one server located on the East Coast (Choopas DC in New Jersey). It is an amazing DC with great routing all over NA and for many Euros as well. The server runs DC+DCF and only CTF maps. It is running a patched Linux version of the server files 1.61 >> 1.62 that allows CD players and Origin players to play together. It also allows 128 players should we ever see the day it becomes that busy! We do plan on other servers in the future.

We currently are not running PB but that will change shortly.

We are looking for like minded people to join our community and server and grow with us and of course frag!

Our site and server is only a few days old and we are constantly working on both to make them better so bear with us
