I'm currently pretty desperate regarding my Battlefield 2 server.
Since a week or so i started playing Battlefield 2 again and since i've enjoyed it so much again i decided to buy my own server for fun, the thing is however, eventho i've purchased it from a trusted EA partner it still starts up as unranked.

Attempts to contact my provider have been useless, they're not the best in giving customer service, but since they already got my money i can't cancel it for at least a month, so in the meanwhile i'm going to make the best out of it.

It's a Battlefield 2 with special forces added to it, all settings are set properly to the standards i've found around the web which a battlefield 2 server should have to be ranked.

Settings such as FF on, minimum players to start 10 etc.

But i also read that those trusted EA hosts have hardcoded settings to acctually be ranked, so my question is: is the problem that my server is not ranked my own fault? or is it my providers fault?

I use BF2CC to manage it, but it gives this message when i start my server

Server is starting in NON RANKED mode.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I do not know the answer to your particular question, but you may be able to find an answer at GameServers.com forums.

If all fails, you may want to find a better host that can provide decent customer support. I would recommend GameServers.com at $0.99/slot for BF2 Ranked, but you could find other hosts that would work for you as well.
