how do you connect to a server? other that clicking join,it dosnt work for me, im sorry for being a noob!!!

You need to go and download the newest patch version for the game from the site. That should resolve your issue.

I need some help. I was running 2142 v1.50 and updaed to V1.51 using the 2GB patch. Now when I start teh game it goes to that initial dark gray screen and never progresses. I started from scratch, unloading and reinstalling to V1.4 then updating to 1.50 making sure it ran at each step, then to v1.51, same result. I updated my graphics driver in between as well, thinking maybe this would help. Not sure where to go from here. Help please!!
