the thing is that when i join a server they always kick me out. It only appears a msg that says that they only accept user with a unmodified edition of battlefield 2142. And I dont know wath they are refering to. If someone can help I will apreciate.

This is a common issue with BF2142.

First, if you have a Logitech keyboard with the LCD display, like the G15/G17, turn-OFF the LCD macro feature in your keyboard settings. Server admins have the option of not allowing players with the macro keyboards to play on their servers.

Second, try re-installing the 1.5 patch using the "incremental" version of the patch (around 177MB in size instead of 525MB). The "full" version of the 1.5 patch has been known to cause the "unmodified content" error.

Also try manually updating Punkbuster using the application from Evenbalance: http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=pbsetup.php

If none of the above helps you'll have to try un-installing BF2142, then re-installing it and use the 1.4 patch "first" then the incremental 1.5 patch.
