Hi, recently battlelog removed server IPs from the browser page as it's not needed to connect to a server. This was also to help prevent servers from getting ddos'd.
Is it possible at all for gametracker to also remove the IPs for BF3 servers as well? It would make it difficult for attackers to target higher ranking servers by removing the IP. Thanks. |

I don't believe there are any immediate plans to hide the IP, but a couple other users have requested it as well so it may be added at some point.
By the way, it still is very necessary to join a server by IP on battlelog. The IP is still on the page (just hidden) and attackers could still easily obtain it in seconds. I found it in seconds with having never used battlelog, but it would still be incredibly easy to determine as long as the server was joinable at all. ![]() |

Yes that may be true, but it will make it a just a little more difficult for a server hacker to ddos/crash a server if the IPs were removed from ranking.
I see a lot of times, top ranking servers getting targeted. There were a lot of complaints about having the server IP listed in battlelog so dice/ea finally decided to remove it. I hope you guys can too! thanks! |

If you right click the Join button (on battlelog) in Chrome and "Inspect Element" you can easily find the IP. Now, I'm not too familiar with battlelog, but if users knew just the name on GT, they'd be able to do some sort of search on battlelog to find that battlelog page for the server?

almost every anticheat community removed the ip end GUID from public, this is for DDOS attack on server and GUID spoofing from non cheating players. and yes im considering to remove my server from game tracker do to try to stop the server DDos attacks. at the moment on the dutch BF3 list on gametracker 2 of my server ar on place 3 and 4 and only thease server have "crash" problem i will do any thing try to stop this even remove from gametracker! A suggestion (if remove the ip's is a problem) wy not give a option to owners to mask the ip's from publick them self? glenn |
