I can't seem to find where a players score is calculated, and how the points are awarded on servers.
Thanks! |

GameTracker uses the kills I believe.
Also, if you are not sure how the scoring works ingame, you may want to try visiting a BF3 fan site to ask how kills, deaths, objective points, etc affect your ingame score, if it is more than just kills. ![]() |

show a score for me of 2 awhile back when I was on for about an hour...anyone else have details on this scoring in Gametracker. I can't believe there is nothing about this on this site anywhere.

I did ask a "fan site"...but don't you think someone here on Gametracker would have a freaking formula or info on how things are figured? If you look up my name on a server it has a score that Gametracker is figuring, how is Gametracker Scores figured, not the game in question like BF3

dilligasd wrote: There is no "formula" GameTracker uses to calculate score. GameTracker only records what the server sends back, which as I have said seems to be kills. I am not sure what you are looking for from us, as we unfortunately do not know everything about how scores are determined for each individual game tracked by the site. ![]() |

burn wrote: To answer your question and state the obvious, Gametracker has no idea what they are talking about when it comes to scoring. There was a player on my server the other that went 65:26 with a score of 162. Lets add to the fact that my server has been renamed for thirty hours now and all other stat tracking sites have it listed correctly and it is still listed as Gametracker here at this site. So I hope this sums this up for both you and Gametracker. |

mrslapnutts wrote: Hi, If the kills element reported back by the server is not actually kills, I do not know what to tell you. Try joining the server and comparing your ingame score to the GameTracker player list. As you may have already seen, there is currently a scanning bug preventing a portion of servers from being scanned, so you may not be able to do it immediately depending on which server you are playing on. ![]() |

Ya Gametracker is still not reporting a HISTORICAL DATA that is correct. What I was asking with under HISTORICAL DATA where is says score is that just kills, this or that, or what the hell ever to get a final score posted here on Gametracker. The reason I'm asking is there are days that are missing or in correct where I wrote down my scores and time...showing wrong here.I was thinking that Gametracker was making up their own score by a formula based on scoring retrieved from BF3, or the server the player was playing on. Either way, gametracker is not getting the correct "score" IF it is only kills passed along from a BF3 server.

dilligasd wrote: Hi, There were brief bugs on the site that prevented a portion of servers from being scanned and/or update the player history earlier this month. Your server may have been affected and you may have experienced low or no scores at those times. If the score is not shown as the correct score (kills), again I am not quite sure what to tell you. It may be a bug report you want to bring up to the game developers. ![]()
