How do I connect, guys?
Here is what I do:
1)I launch the game.
2)I wait for it to say "Connection to server failed"
3)I pick a server's IP:port
4)I bring up the console and type "connect ip:port"
5)I click enter.
BUT nothing happens.What am I doing wrong? Do I need a certain crack or something?
Please, I really want to play this on multiplayer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
P.S:I ran all the updates, I have the latest version.

How do you even go to step 3???

First of all where are you from cuz onyl people from U.S.A,Holland,Germany.. can play Call of duty BLACK OPS.
And maybe your computer doesn't have:

Do you have a legitimate copy of the game?

...Connection to server failed means you are not connecting to the master server thusly you will not be able to connect at all to any server

Make sure your firewall is enabled for black ops try that

people I'm from Russia. Can not connect and can I have an old version of the game. where can I download a new version of the cod? I will be very grateful if you help. tired of just playing in the Cod 4

You could try d/l it from Steam like everone else does:)
