you can only run a free server from your own internet connection. And unless you have a MEGA fast connection, and even then your players will have very high pings.

Renting a server, eliminates most lag, as long as the server is close by. And not in another country than your players.

There are no other "free" server websites. Most rented servers will cost you about 1.50 per player slot.

If you want a 15 player server, it is going to cost you about 22 U.S. dollars a month

You must know how to mod the game to open a server, unless you can find the stuff you want somewhere on the web.

If you don't mod your server, it will just be a stock game when you open it

To do a 16 player server..it will cost you around $25 a month.

I would suggest just finding a server you like...and maybe talk to the owner and see if you could be Admin on there or something. Our server..you have to be a member for over 2 years before being considered for Admin.

Sorry, didn't see he wanted it for Breakthrough....

Although, I run a Spearhead server...I still use breakthrough maps in rotation. Advantage to using Spearhead, is that you can still run MOHAA maps, Spearhead maps, and Breakthrough maps.
