Here's what happens to me, many many times.

Sometimes you just can't boot the game. You go into the UO file, which is under the COD file. You have got a bad UO file, probably needing to be updated. you want to delete some of your UO files, but NOT the files to run the game. It's the map files you are looking for, most likely the newer ones. Click the tool bar at the top to get the newest files. Delete a few files, but NOT the config file or hunk.data.
If you delete a required file, you can always return it from out of the recycle bin. But don't plan on deleting the standard game files.
This happens so often, I even have a screen icon of UO files so I can go immediately to it when I can't get in a game.
Files to delete, (try 3 at a time) to get back into the game and boot, are files such as with a ZZZ or zz in the first letters.
