I see servers running different versions (1.6, 2.0 etc...) of COD and I can't connect to them since my version is 1.0265 or something like that.

Where can I find a patch for the 2.0 version?

Is there a way to connect to any version?

Any help appreciated.

Okay, so I patched the game to 1.7 but now all the servers I was playing are unplayable? I thought if you patched to the newest version you could play the older ones? This is somewhat ridiculous the way they have it set up.

For reasons of compatibility, security, etc you can only play on servers of the same version for the most part.

Thanks burn. I appreciate you responding and helping out. Can I install different versions of COD4 on my computer so I can play the different versions that are run by the servers?

For instance: this server (http://www.gametracker.com/server_info/69.65.31.231:28961/) runs version 1.0 and all maps of Modern Warfare 2. I would love to be able to play on the server if possible. Or do I need to reinstall COD without the patches to play it?
