hi,

whats the point or purpose of joining clans? why do people join, is it much more fun? are there more perks in joining? this isn't me being skeptical or cynical or whatever, its just that i heard about clans, but never got any in depth details about joining a clan or being part of a clan. making friends would be one of my biggest motivations to join a clan or even play online for that matter.

There are a number of reasons to join a clan, such as:

1. Play competitively with a group of players
2. Meet more people, even if you may never meet them in real life
3. They want to start up a group / keep it running

You can think of many more reasons why you might want to join a clan. Some people prefer to play alone or don't feel like meeting certain requirements some clans have.

Being in a clan is analogous to being a member of a sports team. You play with a bunch of the same people you are familiar with instead of just playing pickup games where ever you find room.
