Hi all, I got a problem.

I used my own genuine cd-key from the back of my game booklet to register to a server and played for about 3 weeks and now all of a sudden my code is in use.

Is this a bug that happens every now and then or is someone using mine?

It means that you CD key is compromised.Did you recently shared it with someone?

I had a similar problem last night, when my internet crashed. When I tried to rejoin I got the warning "key already in use, try reconnecting later". I think it is a glitch in some server, as 15 mins later I was able to reconnect. If it is a one off, it's probably just a glitch, if it's an ongoing problem, somebody has hacked your CD key. You could try to contact Activision, but I don't think they will be able to do a great deal about it, sorry.

'CD key in use'

This is a common problem mainly caused because servers retain your CD key for a while, so if you log out and then try to re-enter server it thinks your still there, also happens sometime when you try entering a different server to the one you left. A restart and a 15 min wait usually sorts it tho. Very seldom does this mean your key has been stolen.

important is that you avoid playing on non PB servers ( visiable on main server list ) its full off hackers cheaters and so on also stay away from servers marked as Cracked that saves alot of problems
