Horizon is an uprising multigaming team with high hopes and expectations from both leaders and members. We are recruiting for our Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare team (patch 1.7) and have interests in starting an AA division and Counterstrike Division possibly sometime soon.

We do not recruit players based on their skill in a particular game, but for their character, dedication, and professionalism that they are able to use in game. Once our rosters allow, we will have competitive teams to play in community leagues and ladders, however playing in such matches is not required. Our members are free to play as they wish, so long as they are respectful to their peers.

We are also seeking an Operations Manager (2nd in command, which helps the Commanding Officer with clan management on a day to day basis), a Call of Duty 4 Head of Division, and an Americas Army Head of Division. If interested, more information concerning these positions is on our website.

About Us

Horizon is an online gaming community with members from around the world which plays in several multiplayer computer games. Our team was originally formed in the PC First Person Shooter game of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare in July 2009. Although our team is still young, we hold our leadership and members to great expectations in both organization and professionalism.

We currently have 2 divisions; Call of Duty 4 and Americas Army 2.8.5. We hope to expand to other games in the future when we have members interested in starting new divisions. However, two divisions is enough to look after right now. With the upcoming release of Call of Duty 6 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (November 2009) we hope to expand to these two games.

Horizon recruits based on character and personality rather than skill. Regardless of how much skill a player has, if they do not have an attitude they are still a poor player. Because of false securities, some players believe that they may act in any way because they are behind a computer screen. We do not believe that this is the case and regardless of how you are communicating, respect should still be given to any and all players. Therefore, we try to keep mature members in the clan and keep drama to a minimum.

Currently, our age restriction is 16. We have made this a rule because most players under this age cannot meet our conduct requirements. However, if an exceptional player under this age is mature enough, it may be considered.

Horizon is seeking an Operations Manager. Overall, this is the 2nd highest position in the chain of command. That being said, understand this. This position will be given to an applicant who shows characteristics not only of character and personality, but also reliability and responsibility. The Operations Manager will be responsible (with me) of looking over the clan on a day to day basis. If this does not sound like the position for you, please do not apply for it.

What games do we play?
As of now we have a COD4 and Americas Army division. In the future, we hope to expand to other games whenever we have members that are willing to start these divisions.

Do you use voice comms?
We currently have a ventrilo server, which is a requirement for all members to have and use.

Do you have a competitive league and ladder team?
Yes. We will be joining leagues and ladders if we have the players who are willing to participate in such events. Such play is not mandatory and any player is welcome to play or not play these games.

However, if a player chooses to become a part of the competitive team they will be expected to participate in team practices and prepare for each match.
