Hello there! I've just setup my first Call of Duty 4 server and It seems that somehow im renaming it wrong.(?)


I've renamed it inside the server config file to GameTracker, and restarted and readded the server. But still, it's named Cod4host :/

Can someone please help me out just a little bit on this issue?

Cod4host is the default name I think. That means you probably are entering the hostname command wrong or if you are running mods or something you are putting the config in the wrong spot.

As far as I understood, you're supposed to change the line sv_hostname to gametracker.

But that has never been named Cod4host. So im guessing im at the wrong spot or something, also I've heard that you could rename it with rcon tools.

But I don't know the command to do such :/

You can use RCON to change the name too, it would be /rcon sv_hostname "GameTracker"
