Hey Mates, i want to add my Server to gametracker, but my IP is not static and buying it would cost extra money I realy don't have. Is there a way, to add a DNS Server to gametracker possibly?
Also, I got a Root in America, that has a static IP. Is there a way, to set up an IP-Based Redirect to a DNS? Like if I connect to 127.0.0.1:28960 my PC would redirect my to lanserver.dyndns-home.com? On the other way, it would be enought, hust to know, if I may add a DNS Server to gametracker. Is this possible with help of Admins? |

GameTracker does not support dynamic DNS, so no we could not add the Dynamic DNS instead of the IP.
You may be able to use A records, CNAMES, or something more technical to redirect. Most game server providers use static IPs, you may be interested in checking out other providers like GameServers.com to get a good price and a static IP. ![]() |

Well, Thanks for answer so far. How to use that, what you call A records or CNAMES? I did a lot of Hosting Servers in my life, but never came to this 2 Words.
About a provider: If I'd buy a Server, I would not buy a GameServer, I would buy a Rootserver, cause you have tons of more Possibilitys for a very good price. But the thing is, I don't have money, just like I sayd. ![]() Well, wouldn't it be a cool Idea, to add DNS Support to Gametracker? I realy would like to add my Server to the Database. |
