I'm a new member here so i don't no many things . First i typed in Google Counter Strike 1.6 servers ,and got the result gametracker.com .I entered saw many servers , i clicked join (knew it would never work) it asked me to download if i didn't have it ,i made an account and downloaded it because i didn't have it . after downloading i tried to join the game again this time i joined the server .

A message came saying External protocol request

Google Chrome needs to launch an external application to handle gt links. the link requested is gt://join game=cs&ip=78.47.216.165&port=27020

option 1: Launch App
option 2 Do Nothing.

I pressed Launch Nothing happened.

So i went in the icon on my desktop logged me in and added the CS 1.6 Game on the list and then clicked launch , still nothing happened i went to the site and tried again to join nothing happened then i went to CS 1.6 ,3 servers came in the menu i clicked them i joined and played (this never happened) after playing in the servers i went to the site it worked then i went to the GT Lite icon and launched the game it worked , but after 24 hours i couldn't connect throw The GT Lite Icon or the site, but now in Cs 1.6 2 servers came (different ones) one worked sometimes ,& other didn't work .

I want to connect through the site can you guys help me Plz ill be really thankful to you.

This sounds like an issue related to GT Lite. Where did you obtain your copy of CS 1.6?

GT Lite will correctly detect and launch the Steam version of CS 1.6 in most cases.

From a torrent i downloaded it long before I don't remember the site

You don't need to re-download GT Lite. This is related to the torrent download of CS 1.6. We only officially support the Steam version of CS 1.6. Consider installing the Steam version.

What i do is i copy the server (ip) and go in cs 1.6 and past it in command, to get to command press the key under esc...
example of ip - ip: 74.90.112.18:27015
The key under escape should have the symbols (` and ~)
And before u put the ip in type connect so example:
connect 74.90.112.18:27015
and last click enter and play!!!
And my pc is xp too and i downloaded it from a torrent but it still works, if u cant connect then take a look at ur internet and if cs is able to connect with internet (also if u have MacFee then take a look at that too because MacFee will block programs from using the internet)
