Hello All,

I have a question. When I was back in high-school, 2001-2005, we played CS 1.6 constantly... But it was always LAN play and the copies of the game were not legit... Now, I play most online FPS with legit copies... Anyways, I noticed here on GameTracker that the Number 1 game in terms of servers, is still CS 1.6.

I am curious, are the servers that GT tracks Steam servers or Non-Steam servers?

I have read online that you can play the Retail 1.6 (Non-Steam) for free...

I'm not looking to do this, I'm just curious as to why there are still so many CS 1.6 servers out there. If the game is free (through any means), then that would explain it.

So... No one can tell me why CS 1.6 is the most popular game... even more popular than CS:S???
