I've recently asked about delay in tracking of my server http://www.gametracker.com/forums/forum.php?site=1&post=338688#post338688 and I got the answer but the difference in tracking is so huge. Underneath you can see what I am talking about. "My server activity" from your site
http://cache.www.gametracker.com/images/graphs/server_players.php?GSID=1198292&start=-1d Is there anything you can do about it?

Again, it is not a delay. It is a difference in time zone.

Okay, I will make it simpler.
At your graph at 4PM it looks like I had in average 9 players, and in their average I had 13 players. At your graph at midnight = 4 Their = 8 Doesn't really seem like it has anything to do with time zone. |

You'll have to contact other tracking websites for questions about how they do their graphs. Your assumptions seems to be based on the fact that every component of GameTracker tracking was copied exactly onto the other tracking website. While they copied quite a bit, you can be certain their algorithms are not the exact same.
You'll also find lows on their website which are higher on here. ![]() |

Okay, I see what the problem is.
It's about scanning. It sometimes scans very frequently and sometimes like it does one scan in 5 mins. Any solution? |

If GameTracker is unable to scan a server, it will extend the time between scans. When this happens to be a transition between online/offline, GT will try to scan it a few times before reporting it as down.

And what could be a possible reason for being unable to scan my server?

A variety of reasons.
1. The server is offline 2. The port is not open / portforwarded 3. There is a network issue with your server 4. Your server firewall's anti-flood mechanism is overly sensitive Among many, use your imagination. ![]() |

This company has horrible customer service. What a rude reply from this guy on every one of his posts. When someone wants the tracker to stop tracker his replies are simply, "why? it's doing what you wanted it to do?"
These guys or guy really need to get fired. |

malakaiblue wrote: Are you posting in the correct thread/website? Sorry but this user was not asking to "stop tracking." He was initially asking why the graphs appeared to be delayed (simply due to timezone), and then had a question on extended scan periods. Please elaborate on your question related to GameTracker.com tracking, as I could not gather what your question was. ![]()
