History of Christian Brotherhood (~CB~)


C#W (Christian Heavy Weapons Clan) was started back in 2003, and was the original clan for most of us. C#W was formed by a Christian man (C#W Dragon) in an effort to provide a safe place for his son to play Halo online. Many people were sick and tired of all of the bad names and cursing in the gaming world, and looking for someplace better to play for themselves or their families. Some of us were invited to join and some just joined because of the values the clan had. We all came from many walks of life and have varying degrees of experience with online computer gaming. Some of us have been gaming for 30 + years and others are just starting out.
C#W ended in 2010. Many members felt lost, and they did not want to go play on other servers without the friends they had made. The clan had become an online computer gaming FAMILY, with members from all over the world. C#W ending WOULD JUST NOT DO!

Several members knew how to contact others and together they came up with a plan. They purchased a new Team Speak, Clan Servers and Forums. Those people are Frank (AKA Prophet), David (AKA Pic@), Michael (AKA Dr Tang). Then they contacted as many former C#W members as they could. This was the beginning of the new nameless clan. There was a TV series called “Band of Brothers” a name suggested by T-n-T, but then the clan, for short, would be ~BOB~. Alas the clan wanted to stay with the Christian ideas and values. The name “Christian Brotherhood” was suggested and it passed the vote. This was the beginning of ~CB~.

In an effort to provide a clean and safe environment for all, we have kept some of the same C#W rules as well as created some new ones. We now have a group of counsel members instead of one person in charge. We kept some of the same ranks and made a few new ones also. Just knowing that there is a safe place to go and play online, is a big relief. 1Corenthins 15:33 Reads; “Do not be miss led; Bad company corrupts good character”. In other words Bad association spoils youthful habits. That is why ~CB~ has rules on their servers.

You do not have to be a Christian to join this clan. You should expect to hear, from time to time, Christians talking about their beliefs. Some clan members may even take the opportunity to witness God’s word to others. If you join this clan, a whole new gaming experience becomes available because of Team Speak, Xfire, the Clan servers, Forums and most importantly the people. We make up games in Halo to keep things FUN like Zombies or inter clan tournaments and any member will gladly take the time to teach you all the tricks of the game. The online gaming experience can be intimidating for some, but the people that are part of this clan make you feel at ease. This is just one of the many reasons the clan is special to it’s members.


So be it fate, chance, or higher intervention, we are all here together AGAIN.

The following are the rules that CB is to enforce and also, CB is expected to follow themselves-

General Rules:

No cussing or use of derogatory language is allowed on the servers.
- This includes acronyms and slang words.
- Playful name calling is permitted but only if the person being called a name understands that you are being playful, if a problems escalates out of this, both players may be subject to kicking/banning.
- Speaking to another player in another language is permitted, but the speaker bears full responsibility of the outcome, if a problem escalates out of this, players involved may be subject to kick/banning.
- Names with derogatory terms will also not be accepted, think twice before entering our server.

No obstructing players interaction through means of vehicle blocking or tele-porter blocking.
- DO NOT use vehicles to block tunnels
- DO NOT use vehicles to block the flag
- DO NOT use vehicles to block tele-porters
- DO NOT block the portal by sitting on it
- ETC.

Excessive team killing is not permitted.
- Playful team killing is allowed so long as it IS playful, if 1 or more team members dislike the activity, the player may be subject to kicking/banning
- Team killing all ready has a spawn penalty
- DO NOT team kill the flag carrier because you want to score
- DO NOT team kill a player because you want their vehicle

Cheating of any kind is not permitted
- NO wall hacks
- NO spawn hacks
- NO HACKS OF ANY KIND

Do not switch teams
- Team switching is not permitted unless the teams are all ready lopsided and uneven, or if a CB members ask you to.
- Ditto for CB members, do not switch teams unless they are uneven or an admin says so.
- Be kind enough to even teams if they need to be evened, admins don't want to have to kick people to even teams out and they also don't want to kick people for making teams uneven in the first place.

Inactivity and being AFK:
- It is understandable sometimes a player or players must go AFK for one reason or another but if your absence is pro-longed or is hindering your teams success or is holding a player slot busy when a CB member wants to join, you may or may not be kicked. So go AFK at your own risk and please be understanding of any outcome.

Rules for Admins:

There is to be no kicking or banning of CB members by other admins for any other reasons than the ones listed.

Playful banning and/or kicking is NOT allowed, unless the server is locked down to a CB only state.

The rcon password is not to be posted on the forums ANYWHERE. It is to be shared through verbal/textual communication on TS or through email only.

DO NOT continuously change the rcon password
- rcon access is a privilege and not to be fooled around with.
- If you do need to change the rcon password there must be proper grounds to do so.
- If you type out the rcon into the chat instead of your console, then IMMEDIATELY change the rcon and notify another admin ASAP.
- DO NOT keep changing the rcon password back to a previous one once it is changed; remember guys, if the rcon is ever changed there is a good reason for it. Changing it back just undoes what another admin felt was right.

When making room for a CB member to join the first priority should be to kick any AFKs present in the server. If there are none or cannot be designated then the admin is to kick any players that have had warnings all ready in the server for breach of any of the rules listed. If there happens to be no one who has garnered a warning then the newest joined player or the player in last place is to be kicked to make room. Please follow the priority kicking in this EXACT order.

That leads us to this:
- CB members, sometimes you will have to go AFK but understand that the same AFK rules apply to you that do regular players.

Try to give 1 or 2 warnings before kicking a player out of the HALO server(s).
- If a player does something deserving a ban, a warning is not necessary

DO NOT skip consecutive maps on the server
- Skipping ahead one map is allowed every 2 games but only with a majority vote among CB players.
- If you are the only CB members in the server, the other players in the server must hold a majority vote to skip.
- If you do not vote while the question of skipping arises your vote in negated and does not count.

As admins of the clan, we are all responsible for carrying ourselves in a respectable manner, most of us are adults, lets behave the way adults should.
- If you have a problem with something, talk about it, don't grow a grudge.
- If someone is beating you in a HALO game, DO NOT kick them for it. (They might be getting lucky or just plain better than you.)
- DO NOT automatically assume the worst for someone, benefit of the doubt is important in what you do, remember, we want people to want to come play in our servers.
- If you have a personal agenda this clan is not the right place for you.
- Please don't be judgmental
- Set a good example
- FOLLOW THE RULES YOU ENFORCE, fun once in a while is ok but make sure your fun doesn't lead to problems for others or problems in the server game play.
- If you have server control access (FTP, reset, configuration), DO NOT take advantage of that power.

Forum Rules:
- Do NOT post hateful or distasteful material on the forums
- Do NOT post material on the forums that may be unsuitable for minors (17 years and younger)
- Please do not post any complaints or arguments on the forums because all it does is cause confusion and possibly create "problems". Instead PM one of the "higher ups" about the situation and/or your complaint or you could even PM the person directly. You could also speak on TS about the issue with someone "higher up" so that any and all disaster situations are averted.
- Be active on the forums, it adds another dimension to the game of HALO.
