I added a Homefront server and yes, I selected that in the list, but the server registered as CounterStrike.

Hi,
If a server was already on the site before you added it, it should have had a message like "This server is already on GameTracker and has been added to your favorites for your convenience." If it was originally a counter strike server, the daily scripts should catch it and update the game type to the correct one. You are always free to claim the server yourself and change it too. ![]() |

Must be something awry in your DNS. I've removed the server and canceled it anyway because the game runs very poorly even on good hardware. |

Hi,
Server providers often reuse IP's, so just because you just rented the server doesn't mean it wasn't previously running something else. GameTracker does not support dynamic DNS addresses and are resolved to an IP if you try to add them on the add server form. If your domain name cannot be resolved to an IP address, there may be errors. This may not be the result of adding the A Record incorrectly, but rather you did not wait long enough for the DNS to fully propagate. It can take 24-48 hours to work the best. Sometimes patching the game to the latest version can help performance in your game, as occasionally there are bugs that cause lag for everyone or just players with specific hardware. If your game does start running better or you get an even better computer, be sure to check out GameServers.com for quality hosting. ![]() |
