Curious.

How are the No1 and No2 L4D1 servers worked out considering most of the players are actually bots guys ? I was under the impression that bots would not be counted and only real players !!!

If so then Gametracker is open for some serious abuse.

Hi,

We have these threads for a reason since we deal with fake server reports in batches. If they are not all in one place, we would likely miss/forget about them.

While GT does significant "cleaning" of the rankings to prevent abuse, there are still servers in there that don't get caught immediately. For this reason we are grateful that we have other users who take a few minutes out of their busy days to report them. If you are unable to spend a few moments posting URLs to any server pages in that thread to have them removed from the ranking, that is something you will have to deal with unfortunately.

However, also be advised that I did deal with this post at the time of posting.

As far as Left 4 Dead is concerned, there has been no possibility of fake clients. Sourcemod had fixed that issue since its initial release. There is a fine line difference between these fake clients known as No-steam users...

I wouldn't want to be on anyones bad side to hear that a rank was demoted because of a no-steam server.

I wasn't aware that Left 4 Dead could actually handle 31 slots, nor after actaully playing on the server was i aware that i was surrounded by bots and not real players. Server was laggy and this looked like a real hack job.

What I would recommend, is join the server, list the plugins, and meta mod list. To determine if its a plugin that can do that. Also take some screenshots of that. Sounds to me like that sourcemod might have an exploit.
