I have done the enable-query=true query.port=***** motd= Welcome to UKSF Minecraft I have the correct querie port added to gametracker I have also contacted Nitros about the firewall & they replyed all ports are open & we dont have a firewall on the servers. Any Ideas why it wont scan? here is a link to the server http://www.gametracker.com/server_info/185.38.148.30:25599/ Thanks inadvance Smokey |

below is from Nitros Servers & query post is set to Open in server properties .....
Hi, It must be something wrong with Gametracker, all our ports are open. Make sure your query is set to true in your server.properties |

Your server is not responding under the proper query protocol.
Here are my cumulative suggestions I typically provide for minecraft: 1. You confirmed your server is up-to-date. 2. You confirmed your server is not running any query plugins, like minequery. 3. The query port is correct. 4. You've opened the query port in any network software (firewall, router) for TCP/UDP. 5. You've setup your server.properties. 6. You've tried without mods that are known to break the server query, namely MCPC+ and bungeecord. 7. You've confirmed you are not blocking GT: 208.167.241.190 208.167.241.185 208.167.241.186 208.167.241.183 208.167.241.189 108.61.78.147 108.61.78.148 108.61.78.149 108.61.78.150 ![]() |

A query protocol is basically a specification for "querying" a server, like GameTracker would use to retrieve information from the server. There are a variety of them, but for minecraft in particular GT is expecting to use the gamespy4 query protocol.
There is typically no way for servers to easily change the query protocol (beyond enabling and disabling querying, for example), but occasionally things like mods will break the query. This is why I recommend trying without MCPC+, minequery, or bungeecord setup, if applicable, but I'm sure others could cause issues. Aside from mods, sometimes the server needs a simple restart. ![]() |

I'm sure if more than one user had this issue with the server not responding to the query properly, the GT devs would come up with a workaround to handle your broken servers. Until then, it's not likely.
