GTMurmur - Unable to send document, socket error, broken pipe

Hello,
I've been using GTMurmur, with mumble-django on Ubuntu 11.10 server for no problems for about 2 months now. Just today, I started seeing these errors, and my mumble status is 'Down'.

I've checked/recycled my services (Mumble-jango, GTmurmur ) and I'm still seeing the issue.

Nothing has changed on the server. Does anyone have an idea to what might be causing this?

GTmurmur errors:

Client #3 connected from 108.61.78.147 on Sun Aug 5 21:45:04 2012
Queried murmur again. The result was successful.
Unable to send document to client #3, socket error: (32): "Broken pipe "
Removed client #3.
Client #4 connected from 208.167.225.9 on Sun Aug 5 21:47:58 2012
Queried murmur again. The result was successful.
Finished sending document to client #4.
Removed client #4.
Client #5 connected from 208.167.225.9 on Sun Aug 5 21:48:03 2012
Queried murmur again. The result was successful.
Unable to send document to client #5, socket error: (32): "Broken pipe "
Removed client #5.

Notice that It's not every time that it fails, seems to be random.

Also, the time to which gtmurmur is queried seems odd, there's no pattern.

Something strange is going on, I may end up rebooting the box.

Hello,

I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with your mumble server. I assume that you are referring to this one: http://www.gametracker.com/server_info/193.218.154.87:64738/

You are correct - there is no set pattern in which GT will query GTMurmur. You should see a steady stream of queries roughly 1-6 minutes apart.

Perhaps a firewall setting has changed somewhere? At the time of posting, I am getting connection refusals on 193.218.154.87:30000. Also, you may want to check that GTMurmur is binding to the proper query port.

Best regards.

Hey,

Thanks for the response, I'm sorry I didn't specify the server, I didn't realize that
http://www.gametracker.com/server_info/193.218.154.87:64738/
was on my account? I don't know what that is, it's not mine though.

My server is actually:
http://www.gametracker.com/server_info/98.165.54.65:9959/

Weird thing is, it is up and working now, I haven't changed anything, as I've been at work all day today. So, this random outage on my server, breaking with no changes to my server, and fixing itself with no changes made to my server leads me to believe it was an error due to either my servers ISP, or some where else down the chain of connections. If I we're thinking clearly, I would have done a trace-route and looked for any broken packets. Unfortunately, that didn't come to mind last night, but if It happens again, I could see where it is failing.

As per the http://www.gametracker.com/server_info/193.218.154.87:64738/ is there any way to remove that from 'under' my account, not sure why it is there.

Looks like these errors were just one of those times where its out of my control.

Thanks again!

Hello,

You can remove a server from your favorites by pressing the star next to it on http://www.gametracker.com/servers/ or go to the server page and click the link in the server submenu (Home, Server Banners, etc) where it says "* Favorite"
I am retired from GameTracker after 11 years and will not be responsive for support requests.
