I have a dedicated server running at my datacenter, but have noticed that after a few hours/days, that the server renames itself from the name specified in my server.cfg file to "Modern Warfare 3" (which I believe is the default server name.

This is the line in my server.cfg file:

set sv_hostname Grumpy Old Farts MW3

I've also tried adding quotes to the name like this:

set sv_hostname "Grumpy Old Farts MW3"

But that also eventually renames itself.

Any Ideas?

make the file as readme only..

if its through a hosting company, i would talk to them about the issue
