I have my server variable set so that bots are not to chat, but regardless, they continue anyways. I've even quarried the server variable and can see that it is indeed set to bot_nochat "1".
Can anyone help? Thanks in advance. JusGibs |

Which game type?
The bot_nochat variable will only affect the chat in death match or FFA games. In team games your own team bots will always talk to you. You may discourage them a little (in team games) by declaring yourself the leader. I am a community user. I do not reply to private message requests for support. Good question, I omitted an important detail.
I am set-up for FFA, but the command still has no effect. To be clear, my server runs: Quake 3, 1.30, Excessive, Unlagged Thanks for your reply, JusGibs |

Solved!
I discovered that once I replaced the "qagame.qvm" file that the unlagged version supplies, with the stock version that comes with quake excessive, the bots shut up as well as I gained use of my instant weapon change. I have abandoned the unlagged mod. Thanks for your help anyway. JusGibs |

I was wondering if it could be the mod.
Ours are vanilla 1.31 on Linux, so no qvm file. I am a community user. I do not reply to private message requests for support.
