Welcome to Rust Origins.

The Rust Origins server is modded using Oxide and uses an array of plugins to enhance gameplay and enjoyment. Unlike Rust Core, our main server, Rust Origins aims to bring the player closer to Vanilla but without many of the restrictions. For example, unlike Vanilla, Rust Origins uses the Leveling plugin to reward players who go out and gather resources. We have listed most of the plugins below to give you a better idea of what we hope to accomplish.

Crafting – Crafting now takes 50% less time than it would on Vanilla.
Smelting – Smelting is done at 5 times the speed as Vanilla.
Teleporting – Teleporting has been implemented but is restricted to 5 times per 24 hours. This is to help players find each other easier to begin with, but restrict its use during regular play.

Unlike in our Rust Core server, night time will remain in play and is very much a part of the game. However we have added a plugin that allows Ceiling Lights and Lanterns to be turned on without using any fuel. Players need only put in one low grade fuel to use lights.

Kits have been implemented to assist players. Every player will begin with Burlap Clothing, a Spear, Stone Pick and Stone Axe and a little food to help them on their way. For a full list of kits, type “/kit” in chat.

Clans has also been implemented to make life easier for clans joining the server. However, Friendly Fire is still very much active.

So if you like to play Vanilla, but often wish you had some tweaks to make the gameplay more enjoyable, or perhaps you are a Modded player looking for a server that’s not as simple as others, then Rust Origins is the server for you!
