My server http://www.gametracker.com/server_info/27.50.71.17:3658/ is reading as dead when it is very much alive.
This has happened before and no it is not a firewall issue. What hasn't happened before is that it has in the past two days shown up via xfire using a slightly different IP address. The IP that xfire lists it as having is 27.50.71.10 Note that the only digit difference is the last one where it went from 7 to 0. I am still using RM to connect to 27.50.71.17 and get no response if I try to use 27.50.71.10 although the name and settings listed by xfire are identical to my server. How do I get gametracker to recognize it again? |

I am able to scan it on HLSW with .10.
When your IP changes, you can add the new server at http://www.gametracker.com/servers/ If desired, you can always use the DNS feature to automatically change the IP of a page whenever the DNS changes. ![]() |

I didn't really want to add the server a second time, especially when the IP hasn't changed at all. Why it is reading as 10 and not 17 is beyond my understanding.
I also tried the DNS feature and simply got a message "Invalid DNS name" |

An IP changing from 27.50.71.17 to 27.50.71.10 is actually an IP change, believe it or not.
Yes, if you are not adding a valid DNS address, it will not work. A DNS name would be something like gametracker.com or hello.gametracker.com ![]() |

This image is when I logged in to my remote manager for my server. As you can clearly see my IP ends in 17. The IP has never been changed so it makes no sense. I also can't alter the DNS name of a server with an IP ending in 10 as I don't own one. |

You can use a tool like HLSW to test scan a server.
For example, when you put in 27.50.71.17:3658 in the address bar in HLSW, no server is found. If you enter 27.50.71.10:3658, it scans a server with your server's name. You may need to contact your server provider to ask them why .10 is working but .17 is not. ![]() |
