Hello i am trying to join a team fortress 2 server but i can't
Its telling me ''Unable to launch requested game as it is not installed or detected''

Do i need to have Tf2 to join a private server?

Have you tried verifying your cache files? Like Windows problems are fixed 95% of the time with a restart, TF2 problems are fixed 95% of the time with verifying the cache files.

Sometimes your steam doesn't download all the files and if you verify, steam will see that they aren't downloaded and will download the files that you need.

To verify the files:
-Right click the game
-Properties
-Local Files
-Verify integrity of game cache
