Hello GT.
since TeamSpeaks newest version 3.0.18.2 is out, TS wont show the GT-Banners anymore. Other sites Server Banners do work. (https://www.tsviewer.com/promotion/dynamic_sig/sig.php/clan160x283_funks/1073146.png) Could you fix this plz? Official Post to this Topic can be found here: http://forum.teamspeak.com/threads/1...627#post421627 Already answered the same thing (when 3.0.19 was what client 3.0.18.2 is now): Quote Originally Posted by dante696 Please do not forget the old client 3.0.18 did not check image files properly. This has changed and had to be changed in client 3.0.18.1 (and newer) to avoid evil exploits! If pictures now fail to show, then there is something wrong in the header file of the image. QT reject to show these iamges then. Quote Originally Posted by dante696 View Post Our new Check for images did reject your picture, because there is something wrong in the header file. The old client did not check everything in that image and did not reject the image. But that was bad and a security risk ;/ Which program was used to create that image? I think many users will get the same problem now, but there is nothing we can fix. Your action is required to solve that: Re-create or save the picture with the same (could cause same problem again) or with other software. |

I had to locate the thread myself because the link above was broken. I didn't see anything in the announcement thread that is helpful, even the explanations were not helpful. Can you link to a post or page that would describe the change?

Sorry for the broken link
Explanation can be found here: http://forum.teamspeak.com/threads/121002-TeamSpeak-Client-3-0-18-2-released?p=421928&highlight=#post421928 The client can not validate that your file is really a picture. The header of the file is broken or the program that saved it does use non standard here to create image files. The only fix here is to use another program to create your image file. |

I saw that, but it doesn't even make an attempt to explain anything. Just wondering what check he is doing that no one else, even browsers, are doing.

No news yet?
Wondering, that nothing happens here... I think the problem is rly obvious: Like the post i linked above already said: here is something wrong in the header file (=> TS cant validate that this is a real Picture because WRONG OR NO HEADER in the file, so it could be maleware => doesnt show the file) So i did the reseaches (<1min) GT-Team should do: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portable_Network_Graphics This should be all information needed to fix this problem asap. If further help is needed, you can send me a PM

darkxshade wrote: Not at the moment. Not sure if you've had the time to reply back with additional, specific information on what is needed. That's what we are waiting on currently. darkxshade wrote: So - to be more specific to help you out: 1. You are the only GameTracker user to experience the problem so far. 2. It has already been successfully tested to be working on other 3.0.18.2 clients. Please keep in mind that it is impossible for GameTracker to fix something that cannot be reproduced. I'll go ahead and move this thread to the TeamSpeak 3 forum to open this up to members of the community since there has not yet been any indication of a bug here. ![]() |
