Incorrect Player stats (current players)

Hi,

Gametracker is showing the wrong player stats. I did some troubleshooting and found out that GT is only counting the players on the server who are in public channels which have no subscribe power. 90% of the channels on my TS are subscribe only which means people with server groups other than guest can only see the players online in the specific channel. I was a bit surprised to know that GT query can't scan "all" the players who are in channels which require subscribe permission.

I haven't read the rules so I won't be mentioning the websites but i just wanted to add that some "similar" websites like GT shows the correct no. of players online with the same permissions whereas, GT doesn't. I am looking for an answer because my server will otherwise loose it's ranking as it doesn't shows all the players online.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Many Thanks

I think you are mistaking because tow different websites scan the same number of online clients.

Nope! TSviewer shows the correct number of online players. See this https://www.tsviewer.com/index.php?page=ts_viewer&ID=1100384

GameTracker uses the player list to count players. If your "subscribe" setting removes the players from the player list in the query response, it may not get counted.

But the guest settings are set correctly. See here: http://prntscr.com/fq3qg0

and i don't get it how tsviewer shows the correct number and GT can't. Cuz most of the time We have above 25 players online but GT keeps on saying 6-7 players who are in public channel(no subscribe power req). So now i have to remove subscribe power from all the channels in order for GT to return the correct number?

I have subscribe power on so that random people can't see us and won't be able to message/poke spam us to join their servers.

GameTracker uses the list of users to count the number of online users. If the user is not included in that list, it will not be counted. If other tracking websites use different methods, like just relying on the online user count value, then they may have different results.

Okay, thank you for clarifying. I have to revert my TS to 0 subscribe power then :/ Please mark this post as solved/closed.
