Hey, I tried to contact "Burn" by messaging him, but I suppose you're all busy, the problem is, I don't know how to "claim" a Ventrilo channel, like for example:
The requirement is to change the name of the channel, or whatever it's called, how ever, how do I do that? I don't have "Ventrilo control panel" and if you could recommend a link, for a free download of it, or something, please!:'(

You just need to temporarily change the name of the server, per the instructions, then hit the button. I believe you can change the name within the server itself by right clicking and using one of those options, if your server provider does not have a feature to change it via the web.

You'll either need to re-add the server IP to GameTracker, or contact your ISP to obtain a static IP. Most ISPs charge for this, though.

I've tried so many, links and stuff, and I've tried it all, and still no solution, I'm not a admin to the server, so I can't modify it. I try to change it through the INI file like some walkthroughs say, but I try it, and It doesn't work, I can get into a Ventrilo.srv notepad and I changed the Name = GameTrackingClaimServer like what you say in the claiming walkthrough, and it doesn't work, the vent server doesn't change, if there is a vent professional that works at gametrakcer or something, could you please inform them to go onto this forum page, and respond to me, I'm deeply sorry If I sound like a "Pain in the butt" however my guild has been on my back about this for the last 48hours, and I think I'm going insane!! :/

like myself admin. I have a Ventrilo that the actual Ventrilo owner I believe is lazy and wants people with his community tag to help advertise his vent out to people due to life issues he has with the side line of hardly having time to do it himself. we all are wanting to help out our Ventrilo,teamspeak,xfire, and other online chat communities get are selves on the board. so there should be some kind of change to where anyone can advertise any chat systems up even if they are not the head of the chat systems.

I'm sure there are plenty of other ways to advertise your server elsewhere as well for added traffic.
