I also believe that a lot of data packets are being filtered out in the connection between my game and the server because my ping is far from being perfect (98-125) and it feels as if my connection keeps losing a lot of UDP packets sent/received. I have my cl_maxpackets set to 100, but that doesn't help me much with my connection. Hitting the enemy is a lot difficult for me on the CTF server. I play CoD 4: MW on the popular h4x 21/7 war server where my ping is very stable (~107) even though that server is hosted in NY, Usa.
As already said, others have this problem too, the IP filtering is probably active in certain regional circles and more and more will be affected by it, also some who could still play on the server yesterday, a few are already playing on newly created ctf Server, due to the fact that the CTF Russia has disappeared, I hope that it will work again soon for everyone, see you tomorrow.

This is just weird knowing that many European players are still able to play on the CTF server (Marek, PolishSoldier, vanHeutz, Hauptmann B, etc. from different EU countries) while some of you from Europe have this weird issue. I think your ISP is filtering out all data traffic that's exchanged between your network connection's IP address and the CTF server (Russian IP address).
