What kind of setup do you use?
You have everything on your speakers/headphones, or some in headphones and some in speakers?(I used to had gaming sounds on speakers, and ts on headphones) -Huggsy- |

Well Ive developed chronic lagg spikes and after running my comp in neutral for 20 min it looks like whats causing it is an svchost.exe in the network service group. Now I'm sure its not a virus so whats causing it then. There have been issues with internet in my area (workers are on strike) so could that be causing it?

bionog wrote:cptcooper wrote: I run windows 7 x64 and I have to change my default sound device if I want to play games and use my headset (Creative hs-1000 with x-fi). I think in my case it detects the headset as being a sound output device (like my Creative Supremefx X-fi sound card) and gets confused. If I leave the sound card as default I get no sound through the headset but the mic works. If I switch the default device to the headset then everything works like it should, but I have to switch back to make my speaker system work again. So after that long explanation, do you have a headset that needs a driver? That is a good indication that it has it's own sound output device, and might be why you have other issues after installing it. Just a guess. ![]() |

OK today I decided to play some games on my moms comp because it now has an awesome graphics card(Compared to my own) But there's one tiny snag. NOTHING CAN CONNECT TO THE INTERNET AT ALL, except fire fox, IE, and updater for stuff like anti-virus and tunes(BLEH, APPLE). Steam, Xfire, TS, WOT, COH, and COD, all fail to connect. Now I'm tech support. so I've done everything, Safe-mode, DMZ'ed the router, got rid of all the fire walls, ran 3 full virus, spy-ware and male-ware scans, NADA!!! I'm also not gonna reinstall windows fresh if I can help it, this comps got premium, all I got is a disk for home. Now mom can use this comp fine, I'm just P'Oed that the gfx card I put in it is next to useless, BTW I don't have an APG so I can't use it in my PIC only comp... any help on this would be greatly appreciated, before I destroy this hunk of scrap aluminum!!! Hari-Kari lookin pretty good right now... ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
