The concept of the New Weapon Testing Room is a great idea.

However, :

1) some vehicles, suck like aurora or phoenix or dragon V2 are missing.
2) some vehicles or weapons are totally useless.

So I created my own way of NWTR : http://files.ww.com/files/70872.html

Only one team got weapons and vehicles. Totally unfair, but afterall it's only for actors.

I think I will add the hammerhead and railgun later.




PS : Foib or crusha, could u give me the old way with all package, coz this could be useful for those who don't have anything. Thx

I don't like the whole concept of the room. It loads a whole shitload of stuff into the cache at the same time, if you then switch to another map you can't really oversee what belongs where and it also happened to me a few times that it crashed. And with all the myLeveled stuff you quickly run into version conflicts with other things you already have in the map where you want to place new actors in.

I never use the testing room, it's far better to search for download links to the real packages and have them on your HDD and only load into a map what you really want.

Besides that the performance of the testing rooms sucks hard.

Well, if you loaded every StaticMesh into a map then I am not sure if the map/engine/your PC would handle that properly because you have EVERY StaticMesh that exists in the game in your memory at a time.

No you don't. UT2004Ed is a 32 bit application, so its maximum usable amount RAM is 2GB.
