The Omni people; they wanted and, in fact, as the picture proves, they did. This is one novelty I'm happy to allow 'em to explore aaaaaaall on their own.

Seriously though, I've always believed that TechCom comfortably occupied (and bridged) the gap between the "if it ain't modded, it ain't worth playing", "moar gunzz and sci-fi pew-pew ftw" mentality of the majority of the )o( community/server and the purist and almost isolationist POV of the Titans community where introducing any modded vehicle constitutes despicable heresy against the hallowed and sanctified grounds that are UT2k4's ONS and only their mappers were worthy enough to introduce acceptable new content. I wasn't aware, however, that this gap was narrowing and we're in danger of becoming sandwiched if we don't pick a side soon. What you're suggesting is squarely in the middle of the )o( camp and we're no Omnis last time I checked :/.

Point is, I've known of those two kinda polar opposite mentalities for a while and understood that the heavy-handed inforcement of either one can potentially lead to server desolation very quickly (as evidenced by both their current states) exactly because there would be no balance left to reconcile the old with the new and the steaming-hot-but-untested freshly modded map/vec/weap with the stale and dusty old arsenal of the out-of-the-box game itself. That is, IMO, where TechCom has succeeded in its short life so far as the youngest, most popular ONS server around: in introducing and constantly monitoring that balance so that everyone can gain from new ideas, techs and mods, but changes wouldn't be adopted so fast that later could prove to be resounding failures. I think it is in the spirit and ideology of the path we've chosen (and to the benefit of all) that we continue looking and examining twice everything before we add it to the server and, most of all, extreme examples like all-mino maps.

I, for one, say "hell no".

PS: Unless of course you were joking, in which case, ignore the rant.
