Banning on console bans your Gamertag / PSN. You can set up another XBOXLIVE account for like 60 bucks a year. Idk about PSN/PS3.

Here's a few that won't be playing: http://www.cnn.com/2009/TECH/11/12/cnet.xbox.live.ban/index.html They seem a little "wishy washy" about it however..... |

$60 for new xbox live membership x 1,000,000 banned players = $60,000,000. The math is easy. : ) |

LOL was in my local bestbuy to look at netbooks (a whole other topic) and the PC display for MW2 was completely full. The PS2 and XBox 360 were nearly empty. The PC edition was on managers special.
Was surprised how many of you guys have it and were playin it the other day. At the reduced price, I'll probably pick one up after work (actually I have probably lost as much in billible time writing this post as the game will cost) to see what all the fuss is about. Sailus |

HA HA!
Out of curiosity, how much was it Sail? It's $52.99 at New Egg. I was reading the New Egg reviews from people who purchased the PC Versions. Over 42% of the reviews rated it poor to very poor and 28% at very poor. After reading all the reviews I'm glad I didn't buy it. Some common issues have been the higher end PC's don't see an additional benefit and in fact the people who are seeing better internet performance & PC performance are the one with poor internet service and some lower end PC. I have seen discussions on how the host has a competitive advantage.

Get the game ice ... I think you will be really good at it . I think they really tried to make it geared more towards tactical game play instead of running and gunning . your tactical game play will reap tons of benefits here . I must admit . The iwnet is a bunch of crap ! it has to go if they want the game to live on pc .

I've tried to post twice hear with my review of the game but I think the posts were too large. Here is the Thumbnail. The game is not fully developed. It was probably rushed to market and, Hooligan is right that the whole IW.net thing is crap. That being said, the game mostly runs smooth enough to be playable.
There are more and more hackers showing up. But the more of us that fill a roon, the more we can be assured that there is honest play. Without belaboring the obvious, the game is flawed, but has a lot of promise. It is mostly playable. Not a ringing endorsement, but you can see that they were trying to achieve something different from the past COD titles in terms of game play. I think all of us are adjusting our styles. Hooligan is also right that your style will easily adapt here. It will be a bit frustrating for you, but mostly you will like the game. BTW, I got mine $10 off. The new egg price is a good one. I think IW or Activision has to eventually deal with the game's problems and probably will. More than that ... your clanmates miss you on line. Get the game and jump into a party so you can level up from level 1 in hardcore (don't make my mistake of trying to do it on your own). Sailus |

Over all.... I like it
More then the IW.net I dislike the spawn delay in hardcore, so much so I find myself playing non hardcore a lot. I don't miss punkbuster, I do miss the control of banning/kicking a player but I've only seen one hacker so far. Should at least be able to put players on some "ignore" list so one doesn't have to deal with them. I don't miss the console... I'm liking the "keep it simple" approach. If they do decide to make dedicated servers available I hope they keep that simple as well, just like starting a private match with very limited options. Maps are great, weapons are even better!! Great fun overall |
