The N64 was cool, it did have a ton of good games that paved the way for some of the industrys best. It is hard to say it was the best consloe ever, when sega genesis started the shift from kiddy games to more adult titles like mortal kombat. The Sony PS2, as we noted is still selling seven years after its realese, where no other console has lasted that long. Of course we have to metion the Atari systems like the 2600 for some huge advancements in it time to pave the way for console like Nintendo and Playstation. So to say the N64 is the best overall is hard to do since so many have influenced the others along the way.
