Before going further, I apologize to all Halo players for having to write the following explaination of current events in the first place. However, in light of recent poor behavior being again exhibited by a couple of problematic individuals, I feel that it is important to inform an otherwise unsuspecting public so that we can put this matter to rest somewhat once and for all. In 2007 ñc clan was born out of a desire to assemble some of the finest Halo players from a basic group of players who had been playing together for several months prior. The core principle of ñc clan has been to incorporate not only skilled players, but more importantly, players exhibiting sportsmanship, courtesy and similar qualities. We try to create an environment on our servers of good, civil fun game play, and extend our hospitality by offing nonmembers to even play with us on our teamspeak server. Late in 2007 we took on a couple players by the name of RatsAss and Crazybastrd and allowed them to join our clan. Our clan was growning and we began making plans for growning our team, servers and more. Soon after bringing these two players into our group, we began to have problems and eventually had to kick them from the clan when they were caught, and subsequently admitted to, intentionally creating problems with clan members and non clan game players for the purpose of creating internal divisions and general havok on the clan servers, which included spoofing other clan members and acting badly to other gamers, indiscriminately kicking and banning other players, and even faking hostile takeovers of our clan servers. In March of 2008 we had to remove these two members. Unfortunately, no one can "make" someone behave on the internet. Consequently, they proceeded to spoof our servers, imposter our team members for the purpose of making others think that their ill treatment was at the hand of our team members, and they even put up a website to spoof the clan itself. In an effort to let their childish behavior die from lack of attention, we pretty much have tried to ignore their behavior all this time. However, with their recent spamming of our website it appears that their behavior has now degenerated to a new low point (kind of unusual behavior for 40-something year olds). I have decided that instead of wasting time trying to remove their spamming comments from our website, I will instead offer them to the Halo public as proof positive and a testiment to their true colors. I'm sure that this was not what they intended when they did this, but since they cannot remove what they have posted after the fact, that they have trapped themselves and displayed to the world who they really are. Again, I could expect this from a 14 year old, but 40 year old adults is quite amazing. What is worse is that they are passing this poor behavior onto their own kids. Case in point: read RatsAsses comments on his own website (ncclan.net); he admits to much of this in his more recent postings (don't worry, if he deletes them from his website, I made a screen print that is available to anyone for the asking); furthermore, read his son Peeweed's comments as well. I would be embarrassed if I were passing such behavior on to my children. If you have ever experienced ill behavior from anyone that uses the ñc clan tag, I assure you that such behavior is certainly discouraged within our ranks, and you are most likely instead dealing with someone from this group who is once again spoofing an ñc player for the purpose of creating discord amongst other players and ill feelings toward our members. Furthermore, anyone and everyone is encouraged to install teamspeak (it's a free program from teamspeak.com) and invited to participate with us in Halo games. Our teamspeak IP address is listed in the About Us section of this web page. Don't Be Fooled *** All of ñc clan's official Halo servers start with !!!~ REAL NC, and if you ever are in question as to if a server really is one of ours, simply check our server listing below. Any servers not appearing on the list below are fakes and are most likely being spoofed by these guys. Furthermore, to clear up any misunderstandings, all #NC# servers belong to Ratsass and are NOT official ñc clan servers. I conclude by again apologizing for this long explaination of these events, but felt it necessary. I will not post any new postings so as to allow this listing to stay prominantly on display for some time. However, we are constantly making changes to our servers, so keep an eye on us. In an effort to constantyly improve the gaming experience on our servers, we have begun updating our SNIPRGULCH server to include a rotation of other sniping oriented maps. Consequently, the name of the server hase been changed to: "!!!~ REAL NC SNIPRWARZ ROTATION a_booger". As of Saturday evening, 01/03/09, our first installment of a series of new maps was the addition of a new SideWinder map. The game setting for this map is CTF, and due to its size, a full complement of vehicles has been provided. Furthermore, in keeping with the sniping motif, the weaponry is classic sniper weapons. Our first trial night was very successful, attracting a full server of 16 players until around 4-5am. We are currently selecting and adapting other maps which will be added to the mapcycle rotation on this server and will keep you posted as new installments arrive. As of 11:45pm, 12/12/08, the ban lists of all ñc Halo servers have been cleared, with the exception of ROCKTGULCH. ROCKTGULCH is usually so constantly packed that I can hardly find a time when I can take down the server for a couple minutes and clear the ban list. Never fear though, some time in the wee hours over the next couple days I will clear ROCKTGULCH's ban list also. Soooo if you are currently banned from that server, you'll be back in the running again soon. There have been a couple new names added to the infamous "permanent ñc ban list", so if you are still unable to get onto our servers after we have announced a ban list has been cleared, you musta really been bad. For these guys, see the FAQ on petitioning for getting lifted from the list if you want to get back on. In the meantime, cya in the game....soon! -- ñc a booger
