i also agree with cpt eagle and atomic. the same rules should have applied to damian payne also. the lack of respect damian showed to many and also the lack of respect to loki by nicole was inexcusable. if this is gonna be an unban i would say it has to be done by loki.

doodle. you remeber why i ban you? we have rules in the game and on those forums. and one of them are not argue with a admin or serverowner. and not insulte them either. damian need to follow our rules. period. and since you doodle cant follow what we are saying. you can stay out of #18 as well.

A week ban for the mishap and improper protest, I'm alright with. Another week for directly insulting Loki because Nicole deemed it 'immature', I can understand.

But a permanent ban rarely solves anything. We're not talking about a hacker here, not a mass crash-the-server-spawner, or even a sadistic pyromaniac. This is someone who made a mistake, even apologized for it, but very wrongfully protested against it. Even Loki at first saw it as a heavy handed decision.

To think, for something as minor as this, that anyone would advocate throwing down the banhammer to that extent, I cannot wrap my mind around. I think we would find the vast majority of SGC members and players in favor of the much smaller (yet affective) choice for a 2 week ban. A permanent ban for this simply shows how you don't care to handle the situation and rather put it aside, forever.

Nicole is an active, respectable member; someone who knows what's up around here and wants to join in the community. But even so we mess up sometimes. Nicole did something that's frowned upon by the SGC community; something that is in fact measurably detrimental. Even Geek's on this to prove it. Loki also witnessed it on his own server, and was called out because of it. I say it's his decision. He was there. He knows exactly what happened.

Nicole isn't going to end the world because she messed up. She also isn't going to intentionally do this again, nor call out an admin from his decisions on his own server. I'm saying this because... why would she want to go through this again? It's a first warning and shouldn't be anything more.

And Loki knows what's up.

I'm not trying to insult anyone. I'm simply leveling the playing field.

As stated several times, this decision will be on Loki, once Loki has made his decision he will go to GEEK. I don't know why this is so diffcult to understand.

For those of you that speak up for Nicole...I have nothing but respect for that. Loyalty and compassion are hard to find these days. Kudos.

That being said, I am not reversing the ban. Feel free to keep on trying though; however, I will be honest with you...this is really not the place for it...be advised that this is not an open discussion. It is an internal SGC matter and although I respect what all of my friends say...at the end of the day, the call is mine or Loco's.

I love you guys and gals, but please take me seriously when I say that nothing this side of the third ring of hell that anyone says on an Internet Forum, no matter how good/bad the intentions are will get me to change my mind.

Let's take a break from this thread for a while before it goes the way of the DoDo, eh? Revisit in about 2-3 months?
