You will have to set up fast download on your server. It is done through the cvar "sv_downloadurl"

hey ... i try to update but it does not... as i give the update command to cmd prompt it closes or as i open that shortcut....plz help me... m very eager to make my own server...

Everry body its very easy to create server first you have to go to your cs folder run hlds and create a server from there and second you have to go to your routers gateway for eg 192.168.1.1 then go to advanced setup then nat then virtual servers then in application type hlds launcher and in protocal choose UDP and if in hlds you have kept port 27015 then in start port type 27014 and in end port 27016 and in ip address put the ip which was given ih hlds then save and go to whatismyip.com copy the ip with port ang give it to your friends but remember that you have to turn off windows firewall you can test your server by adding it to gametracker you should keep your ip from what is my ip if it is added then you are successfull enjoy! it really works.
