when i try connecting to d server my cs get shut n its come that "file read failure" what should i do??

i got the same problem about game lunch and auto connect to some weird server out there without any options...i tried the "config.cfg" /"user config.cfg"/"Gamemenu.rsc" methods but didn't get the problem all set..Even reinstalling the game didn't worked at the first place..... but then i came up with the solution by deleting the Counter Strike 1.6 Folder from the directory after uninstalling it from control panel(the uninstallation does left some resources and config folders in the CS 1.6 directory for later installs..

So just simply
1.Uninstall the game
2.Delete the CS 1.6 Folder in Program Files(x86).
3.Reinstall the COUNTER STRIKE 1.6 and install your maps or whatever you want in the directory.
4. VOILA!! ENJOY the Game.

Guys you need just to put the Counter Strike to read only... Right Click on the image of counter strike... propriets... read only and it's ok! Good Luck

after uninstalling open this link and delete the counter strike 1.6 folder. may be it will help you.

hey it is there... if u don't just wright the ip addresses of your fav.. servers and re install the game!!!

buy game, an get last updates for all games, friend list, etc etc, and many features.
