Dear OP
The main issue, IMHO, with actual CS 1.6 is that they are not balanced. Usually one of the teams has way more advantage towards the other.
Inferno, among the most played maps, is completely CT-oriented.
At least on my part I'd love to see a challenging, balanced map suited for both long-ranged weapons (AWP) and rifles. I think that cpl_mill is a good example of a balanced map. Dust2 is widely played because it is balanced. If those wooden doors right in the middle were changed, making it impossible for an awp-player to shoot those going b1 through the balcony, it would be perfect.
