What "does not work?" Please provide some information so that someone may be able to be of some sort of assistance to you.

If the server is not online, you have not opened in the port in the firewall/router, or you are not entering the correct information... it will not work.

You will need to set up port forwarding via your router.
Instructions should be in your router documentation.

You should also consider reading the other suggestions in the scanning error message, specifically the firewall. You need to open the appropriate ports so that GT is not blocked from scanning the server.
